Presidents Message
As we embark on another exciting season, I am filled with pride and optimism for what lies ahead for the Narre Warren Football Netball Club. It’s my pleasure to extend a warm welcome to all of you, especially too all of our new coaches, team managers and other volunteers. Your expertise and leadership are invaluable, and we are excited to see the positive impact you will bring to our teams.
As many of you know, the club made the deliberate move to the Southern Football Netball League to pursue stronger competition, following a highly successful period in the Outer East League. In four fully contested seasons, we celebrated three Senior premierships and finished runners-up in 2023 — a remarkable achievement that set the foundation for our next chapter. Season 2025 in the SFNL certainly proved to be an interesting and challenging year for us.
Our netball program faced significant challenges, particularly with football and netball operating at different venues each week. The absence of shared match days made it difficult for players, officials and supporters alike, but we remain proud of the resilience shown across all teams.
On the football front, the year delivered mixed results. Injuries led to frequent changes across our sides, testing depth and adaptability. Despite this, there were some outstanding highlights. Under the guidance of coach Mark Kristyln, our Under 19s secured the club’s first ever SFNL premiership — a tremendous milestone. Our Reserves finished fifth on the ladder and progressed to the First Semi Final, the Seniors finished seventh, and our Under 19 Colts finished sixth, laying strong foundations for the future.
Looking ahead to 2026, we are excited about the growth of our club. We will field four Senior Netball teams and five Junior Netball teams competing in the newly formed Precinct League, where we anticipate greater alignment with our football program at home and selected away venues. On the football side, we will have Senior and Reserve Men’s teams, two Under 19 Men’s teams, a Veterans Men’s team, and — for the first time in our history — a Senior Women’s Football team. This is an incredibly exciting development for our club and a proud moment for all involved.
We remain deeply committed to junior development through our long-standing partnerships with the Narre Warren Junior Football Club, Narre North Foxes Junior Football Club, and the Fountain Gate Junior Football Club. These relationships are vital to sustaining the strength and future of our club.
Our history is one to be proud of — 12 Senior football premierships, nine of them since 2000, along with six runner-up finishes in that same period. Fifteen Grand Final appearances in 23 completed seasons is a testament to the culture, commitment and competitiveness that defines our club.
Now, we look forward with confidence and enthusiasm.
Bring on Season 2026!
