Grand Final Review

Grand Final Review

A huge congratulations to both teams for reaching the Grand Final. This in itself is a huge achievement and a great testament to the dedication and determination of the players and coaches. We were all extremely proud of your efforts on Saturday!

Congratulations to Glenn, Jayde and every U17 White player for making it through to the grand final. Unfortunately, it wasn’t our day despite everyone putting in 100% effort and fighting hard right to the end. We came from 13 goals down to get within 5 going in to the last quarter, which showed great determination and effort – and was true to our motto “never give up”.   Beacy also finished strong and were the winners in the end. Congrats to Beacy on a great game – and to our 10 Narre players – you did our club proud and each and every one of you can hold your head high knowing that you tried your very best.  A big thank you to our coaches, Glenn and Jayde, for your dedication & commitment to ensuring that each player continued to develop and grow in confidence throughout the season. It really showed on and off the court! As did the team camaraderie.  A wonderful season all round!

We kept the week, going into the game pretty low key.  We trained with our usual intensity and determination.

We had a game plan and stuck to it.

Every player on this team played their role and did what was asked of them. The moment we stepped on the court, the girls dominated the play, forcing lots of turnovers with some sensational intercepts in the mid court, the clean and disciplined defence and goalers producing the goods made for a 10 goal victory at the final whistle. Well done Amy, Olivia, Jayde, Maddy, Jaymie, Kate, Madi, Chelsea, Tamika, Taylah and Alex on a sensational result.

Madison Nation played her 100th game for NWFNC, she played as brilliantly today as she has in her previous 99 games.

Congratulations to Amy Rae, receiving Best on Court.

Last but not least, congratulations to Michelle Mashado, on successfully coaching this group of talented young ladies to a premiership. Michelle is not only a 2018 premiership coach, she also received the ‘Best On’ award for her efforts on Saturday night, back at the club.

Congratulations B grade 🏆🏆🏆
